14th day – What was Jesus’ reaction when they spoke badly of Him?

Today is Day 14 of the Quarantine. It has been good to read your comments and to have your participation.

Let us then go to today’s topic: What was Jesus’ reaction when they spoke badly of Him. Pay attention so when someone speak badly of you, you can have the same reaction Jesus had.

“Therefore, when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John (though Jesus Himself did not baptize, but His disciples), He left Judea and departed again to Galilee. But He needed to go through Samaria. So He came to a city of Samaria which is called Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.”(John 4:1-6)

What did the Lord Jesus do? He left Judea. He departed. He did not fed into His thoughts worrying about what they were saying about Him. He did not justify Himself, but He continued His path.

Human reactions are spontaneous and based on what is inside each person. Whatever is inside comes out naturally before situations. If a person normally acts hastily it is because they are anxious. They do not have tranquility, trust, and are not connected to God. That person is extremely concerned with what others think and wants to justify him or herself. This reveals what is inside.

Your reactions speak loudly! In fact, they say much more than your words.

I want to draw your attention to this: What we can see in Jesus’ testimony is that He continued, He did not stop. He was not killing Himself over what the Pharisees thought of Him. No! He went to the other “side”.

That’s what I want you to do. Move on to another stage in your life. Stop being “silly” worrying about what others think of you. It’s time to act mature. Only those who are childish in the faith act this way. If you want to be Mature in faith you must move on!

Leave your feelings aside, because they do not solve anything. It’s your intelligent faith that goes straight to the “point” without worries and without looking back!

Leave your comment here. See you tomorrow!
