14th Day : What defiles a person?

Hello to all cybernauts! It is a pleasure to be here with you in this Fast of 21 days!

I don’t think you know how happy it makes me feel to serve you and to reach you all! When you participate here on the blog and you tell me what is going on, what happens to you when you listen to the audios, what you have seen in yourself; it is so gratifying and wonderful!

What I most want isn’t when you tell me what you already know, but when you participate about your reality, of what is going on inside of you.

I love reading your comments! Including, a wife sent me the comments from those who are in Latvia and I became really happy with the email that I received. Everything that is truthful, interests me. But when you write about what you already “know”, then I am not curious to read your comment. So, when you participate on the Blog, and you write about what is actually happening to you, of what you are living, of what you are seeing inside yourself, that is the “now” in your life. I want to see results of your faith. That is why, you should participate what is real, and not about what you have already overcome. If it’s already happened, then glory to God! But if you haven’t overcome and you are living with this, then write about it, because to me, it is wonderful! I love reading those comments!

Today is the 14th day, and we are going to speak about what defiles Man. Accompany me in the book of Matthews, chapter 15, verse 15:

“ Peter said, ‘Explain the parable to us.’

‘Are you still so dull?’ Jesus asked them. ‘Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them.’ ”

Before we continue further reading the verse, I want to call to your attention the follow: Notice that Peter ask Jesus to explain, and He responded: “Are you still so dull?” The Word of God is complicated to you and to me, when we complicate it! But the Word is direct, it is very simple and It reaches each one of us, depending on who receives It.

Peter did not understand, and he revealed something beautiful about him, he asked the Lord Jesus to explain, revealing that he was searching to understand.

And Jesus responded:
“But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them.”

Observe that the words you say, defile you. Maybe you say something to God, you end your prayer, and you forget what you said to Him. You aren’t a person of your word before God. Or, you “play” with your words, making “jokes”, always joking around… and you won’t win anything with this. Sometimes you say things based on how you are hurt, or what you are guarding, what you save and what you are giving importance to, about what traumatized and disappointed you.

Inclusively, many times you do what the devil “says”! When, for example, someone says: “Nothing will ever go right for you…” And you stay with these words and you tell someone else, “Do you know that so-and-so told me that nothing will ever go right for me?! It really is the devil! It’s tied up!…” And this does not do you good, because you’re repeating what the devil said to you, because this provoked and messed with something inside of you!

That is why God said that whatever comes out of your mouth comes from your heart, and this defiles a man.

“For out of the heart come evil thoughts–murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what defile a person, but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”
(Matthews 15:19-20)

Do you see now? It is a demonstration to you, so that you can perceive the way that the pharisees and scribes were speaking about what was inside their heart: they were misjudging the disciples, because they didn’t wash their hands to eat.

The heart judges, in same way that you judge someone. Sometimes, you don’t even say anything, but you think: “See!? So-and-so is like that.. oh!” That is your heart. And that is what is bad and what defiles you.

That is the motive for why Jesus spoke about what defiles a man, that it is what comes from the mouth, which comes directly from your heart!

My cybernaut friend, confer and watch yourself day after day, every day. Not only in this Fast, but for the rest of your life. Be attentive to yourself! See that you are not a person who is “trustworthy”, because your heart is always tricking you and what makes you corrupt. It makes you forget everything that you have been taught and live only by what you are feeling, what you see, and walking in accordance to your five senses.

Look to Jesus and be attentive to your words. Confer your words before people, confer the thought you absorb into yourself and also what you say to God! When you see it in this way, then you are watching and being attentive, but that doesn’t mean that you are okay! You are going to have to “cut off” all the things that you are doing wrong.

Participate here on the Blog, because I will be very pleased to read your comments.

Tomorrow we will be back!

  1. Hi Mrs Viviane,

I think your blog is amazing because it has challenge me to see myself. I can’t remember the blog but model pray to God I feel like this and that but I don’t want to feel this way anymore. I use it alot as I have been seeking the Holy Spirit with so called ‘holy eyes’ when the truth was I wasn’t dealing with my inner dirt. I don’t blame God or myself for this but I’m glad I found your blog to fix myself. Today I want to surrender my fun side aka my joking side to God as I just put my guard (my watching eyes) down and say anything I want. Which does please God. I don’t want hide myself in this image, in jokes I just the real transformed me.

  2. You know sometimes I would say things only to hurt my fiance and people around me, just because things never went well, the way I expected for me. I would blame them for everything that is going wrong. …I’ve learnt today

Thank you Mrs vivi for this post, because it gives me more seriousness to my decision in this fast.I was someone like to joke with lies and after “i would say im just joking”but now as i red this post i see how sinning i was though jokingly but are lies and the father of all lies is the devil.I could not take it serious but as i red this i felt guilty and i decided to stop though it seemed small and useless when i do it.I know it wont be easy as i was used of it but im ready to sacrifice to avoid the defile in me and for the honour of my father and my mother.Thank you so very much for this post.
