One thing I got from reading this verse, is that for Joseph to go Egypt and wait for the king to die it was really faith.
I got from this that whenever I am obeying GOD I am fulfilling his promise.

it’s amazing how much details you miss in verses! When I was mediating I was thinking from how our Lord Jesus had to sacrifice. But at this time, though the Bible doesn’t mention He was young. However, thinking about Joseph and Mary situation. They couldn’t travel freely. Maybe they wanted to see family or friends. It makes me envision that they weren’t worried about their circumstances but their vision was on something greater then what they were losing. Powerful lesson. I thank you Jesus for this lesson.
