Jamás pensé que diría esto, pero si mi hijo no fuese especial, yo no sería quien soy hoy.
El autismo no es una enfermedad, no se ve en la carita del niño, no se diagnostica a través de exámenes, ¡no! El autismo es comportamental y con esto, solamente personas especializadas en el tema son capaces de diagnosticarlo. Siempre digo que el día en que asumí y acepté esto, fue mi punto de partida en contra de mi misma. Yo cambié, no fue Gabi quien cambió.
Cuando decidí cambiar mi vida, mis hábitos, mis compromisos para dedicarme a mi hijo, no tenía noción de cuanto ganaría con esto, mi objetivo siempre era él y siempre que nos quebramos para ser moldeados por Dios y podemos Glorificar Su Santo Nombre, somos bendecidos.
Intentando organizar el día de él, yo organicé el mío; mejorando la alimentación de él, enriquecí la mía; dándole prioridad, vi cuando tiempo había perdido con cosas que no valían la pena; buscando direcciones en Dios, me volví más dependiente de Él; leyendo sobre el tema y transformando parte de mi casa en un centro de tratamiento, descubrí talentos en mi que jamás soñé que tuviese; sentándome y descubriendo a mi Gabi, me vi en él, y lo amé aún más.
A través de mi hijo, Dios me enseñó a negarme a mi misma, y así poder hacer parte del Plan de Él.
