Who to hear?

Have you ever stopped to wonder how many voices we hear every day?

There are many … including the voices of our family members, friends, strangers, famous, and of those who dictate fashion and also of our own “I”.

Do you know that voice inside of you that always wants to give its own opinion—the one that seems like the voice of the serpent that tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden?

It always has something negative to add, like … “You can’t do it, you don’t need to, why so much effort, it’s not exactly like that…” that is, it’s always trying to put you down. Or that voice: “It’s just today! Nothing will happen if you just do it once, God understands that the flesh is weak “ or ” God understands that you need to lie. The situation leaves you no other choice! “

That’s what the voice of our “I” does. It always wants to prevail without thinking of the consequences. Of course, the devil does not waste time, knowing what makes your eyes sparkle; he takes care of preparing a trap!

But how to hear God’s voice, the voice of faith?

Bear with me … When you know a person very well, whether it’s family, friend, you recognize his/her voice, sometimes even by the steps you know that he/she is coming, or by the door knock, or the way he/she rings the bell, you know who it is! Your coexistence with that person allowed you to be so close, that you recognize when he/she is around.

It is the same with the voice of God! The more you are interested to hear Him, have pleasure in seeking Him, talking to Him, making Him your friend, it will be more clearer to distinguish when it’s Him guiding you and it will be more easier to know what He expects of you!

To recognize the voice of God, you must know Him!

When God speaks, He leaves no doubt!

A hug and see you next week!

I understood that in order for me to hear the voice of God I must be closer to him so I can learn more about him

  2. jeanette – Hey branden I come in comtpele and utter agreement with you! some day it would be cool to share my tragically beautiful journey the really got focused in the last 3 years with you, katie, krina, kevin, well (considering we all are just spurratically building friendships via fb and church. ) anyway lol! Many lessons learned and the Fingerprints of God everywhere!!! He is so Radtastically BombDig!!! We all need to come together and fight for those very things Jesus has clearly made a point to hold important. We cannot settle though grace, mercy, wisdom, and love are also necessary in the battle for His will in our lives and our culture/world. It begins with One we can all come together with accountability, prayer, support, and diving in to those who may not know honestly how to call out. Life on your own is hard meld two fallible lives together well that is even harder. This life and relationship (especially Marriage) is not for happiness but sanctification our boundless joy (even when things aren’t happy ) has to begin and anchor into the Lord .. not a person or things. May the Lord continue to encourage you and give you all you need to speak boldly His Truth with love, grace, and mercy.

  3. So many voices speak to us on a daily basis.. Some to distract/, discourage or bring doubts but there is only one voice that is clear, leaves no doubt, erases fear and gives life.. This is also why it is important to know and meditate on the word of God.. If the voices that speak don’t match with His word, then it clearly isn’t from God!
