What do you like to do the most? (Part IV)

Do you see how your desires seek self-honor and self-glory? Do you see why God teaches us to serve Him and to stay away from any personal greed?

You can see that the things of God have nothing to do with the “world” in which we were created, or what we think is best for us; it has nothing to do with the fact that the we feel good about what we do, or the feeing of being “all-powerful” because we have grown in certain areas.

We all have something considered “beautiful” in our own eyes and we set our own priorities. These priorities can be many things, such as: beauty, fashion, fame, the security of being well seen and accepted by all, etc.

“… that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.” (Gn.6: 2)

The beauty of those women in which the children of men were attracted to can be referred to as the “gold” and not the altar. That is, when you nurture any intention other than just to serve and honor God.

Further ahead, the Bible states that God repented in creating mankind precisely because of the wickedness of his heart. The same corrupt heart that sometimes you say is new, wants to take the place of God. So the Bible says: “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?” (Jr.17: 9)

We can only receive a new heart when we are sensitive to God’s voice not to the “beauty” of what our eyes covet.

And I am the one who makes that choice!

Do not put your eyes on anything or anyone other than Him. Being close to me or anyone else, won’t guarantee you any type of assurance. That’s why, sometimes, it’s better to be alone even if you think no one is sees you, because this way you will only draw God’s attention. And that is the best thing… much more than getting the attention from others, because when we call the attention of the Father, He honors us!

  2. Good day Mrs Vivi

Thank you very much for these messages; they are reviving. May I add that from experience I have released that it is very easy to fall into that trap of self-exaltation; with the lips to say “this is for God” but with intentions; to prove “how well of a servant” I am. To avoid this kind of heart I have learned to examine my intentions and remind myself that without God I am incapable of doing anything that glorifies Him because of my sinful nature but through the Holy Spirit all responsibilities given to me will be executed accordingly so If I subtract the Holy Spirit I am left with nothing. Also I have learned to be careful with the “little” jokes that encourage self-exaltation, whether from me to someone else, or from someone else to me. Without God I can do nothing and I am vessel, It is His Spirit that guides me according to Gods purpose.

This “little” things that are not so little and are acceptable in the world can be hidden really well and will only be exposed when we diligently prioritize intimate time with God, it is only in the light of Jesus will these errors be seen and will we have the strength to overcome them by making the right choices.

Thank you again for the messages.

  3. We only receive God’s new heart when we take time to just listen to him and not put much of importance to other things that we may consider to be our treasure. Our treasure should be God. We should consider him to be our only treasure or our only father. When we have him in our hearts everything else will come to us . It is better to have God with us than to have materialistic things on our life that we consider our one and only valuable thing.
