The fat, the kidneys, and the liver!

“But the fat, the kidneys, and the fatty lobe from the liver of the sin offering he burned on the altar, as the Lord had commanded Moses. The flesh and the hide he burned with fire outside the camp.”
(Leviticus 9: 10-11)

For some days now, I have been thinking deeply about the reason why God vehemently asks that the fat, the kidneys, and the liver of the animal be burned on the altar.

These parts of our body represent our whole life.

Fat = Energy
God wants to be our strength, our constant energy;

Kidneys = The main function of the kidneys is to filter the blood.
God wants us to filter between good and bad; to accept His will – His Word. When the kidneys do not filter what is good, our health is compromised;

Liver = The liver is part of the digestive system and is one of the most important organs of the body, acting in digestion and assisting in the metabolism and storage of nutrients.

– God expects us to keep His commandments, for they are life! If we keep resentment, bad eyes, grief and everything that comes from the bad intentions of the heart, our soul will be at risk,
just as the liver is atrophied when we take in what is harmful to our organism.

The conclusion I reach is that these organs represent our inner-self, our insides, the center of our life, and without them, we cannot live.

When God asks us to the altar, He is asking for our entire life, He wants to be our Energy, our Filter, and our Storage…

Is the Holy Spirit able to execute this role in our lives?
