Faith requires action from you.
It gives you the capacity to face any embarrassment it may cause, just for the purpose that it brings you. It gives you strength to go reach your goals.

And there I was, ” Bishop Macedo’s daughter” caring a tray after the meetings like the Brazilians on the beaches and on the streets do to sell their products.

I made Brazilian sweets and other things, such as cakes, etc. But I did not wait for people to come out of the meeting I went ahead with a shameless expression on my face even though I was dying of embarrassment inside, but my faith gave me the courage to do it.

I don’t think the people had ever seen a pastor’s wife with a tray in her hands saying, “who wants a sweet?”

I confess that my face was red while doing this and at the same time, I saw the confused look on the people’s face because they didn’t know why I was doing this. But my goal was to face all of this, both my own thoughts and the circumstances around me.

I would sell something every Friday after the meetings.

Vera would help me too, and when she did, people would respond more.

That’s how I learned to get resources to invest in the Sunday school, since the church had many needs I couldn’t wait for Julio to help me with this.

Little by little, after months of working, I was able to invest in every part of the Sunday school, with decorations as well as in materials and toys to be used to educate the children.

Julio never facilitated things for me, but my willingness to always do my best, made me earn “credit” with him. And so he decided to invest in the most expensive things like the furniture.

It’s a shame that I don’t have pictures of that time anymore. I lost them since we moved several times, so I don’t have any proof of what was done in that place, with such love!

At the time, since I was investing on this project with all my strength, I asked the wives of the other churches, which Julio was responsible for, if they could help. I told them they could do a garage sale in their church. Only two were willing, but I didn’t stop to complain, I kept the goal I wanted to reach and I respected their faith and continued to follow mine.

And so with all my strength, I was doing what was in front of me to do. I was happy with every achievement.

It’s very gratifying to fight for something and see the success of that fight. Especially when it comes to faith, you learn so much.

Faith makes you no longer depend on others to feel motivated, or to fight, even if you’re alone, the conviction it gives you brings joy, because you believe in what you do!

Thank you God, for this faith, which gives me much more than any college or doctor can offer. Faith gets you where you never imagined you could reach.

  5. Faith keeps us connected to God. Our faith should be followed by action because faith without action is dead.
Therefore we should manifest our faith so as to be blessed by God.

True Mrs Vivi, faith makes you depend on yourself, you no longer look around to see if the circumstances allow you to do what you want to do.But you motivate yourself, sometimes you tell your friends about your idea, but they don’t understand it because God gave to you not to them. The word of God motivates us!FAITH!
