Returning to the Past – 39th Part

Upon arriving in New York, I was in expectation of getting right to work.

It was the first time that Julio was responsible for a region. I was only 24 years old, but my faith was burning inside of me.

Those prayers upon the Altar were worth it. I was full of vigor, this is of course, of peace and decision. I was no longer like before, peaceful and waiting for others.

The struggles that we go through in life teaches us how to discover the faith we have, that normally is dormant and peaceful when there is no “push” from the problems.

Now I was quite different!

Our children went with us, thank God. We had the opportunity to have them close. I had to enroll in school close to home.

I remember this time very well. Julio’s meetings were so different, so good and so revealing, that when I was not attending the meeting, I was thinking, “what is being talked about today?”

I felt like I was missing out when I was not at the meetings. But it was almost impossible to be close to him every day, because again, we lived far away, about a 45-minute drive to the church.

Remember that we, who are on the Altar, do not choose where we will stay. We are only given the responsibility and the house, and there we must bear the consequences.

What the Altar requires the most of us is for us to be used with all our lives. Our whole life is surrendering our will, our dreams, etc.

At this time, in New York, I told Luis and Vera to always pray for their documents. Vera was the one who heard me the most.

Because I saw Luis and Vera’s need, I also wanted to put all my strength to create a Sunday school with the best conditions for the children. I started out of my own responsibility to make have a bazaar to raise funds.

Next week I will tell you more.

  4. Good evening Mrs.Viviane.Thank you for sharing this message.I agree to what you wrote here,”The struggles that we go through in life teaches us how to discover the faith we have.”If our lives is always calm,no problems, trials and tribulations,we will never discover if we really have faith to overcome every problem we may face.I truly believe that, struggles that comes in our lives will make our faith become stronger, although not everyone is willing to face the hardships in life, some people will give up along the way.But if we use our intelligent faith and have the assurance that God is with us,we will get through the storms of life. This is what I have learned in the Universal Church, using our intelligent faith.
