Normal things that contaminate our Faith

We’ve already heard, many times, that without faith it is impossible to please God.
But, how can we keep this faith when our human nature because of necessity is attracted by what is obvious and momentary?
What do you mean?
Like when we face a difficult situation where it’s almost impossible not to surrender to fear, helplessness or even doubt like in an illness, a death or some sort of loss. These are the types of circumstances that involve our feelings.
Let us understand what we have to do, not only in theory, but putting it into practice. Look what happened:
“But it happened in those days that she became sick and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room ( … ) Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.” (Acts : 9 : 37 and 39 )
“But Peter , having put them all out … ” (Acts 9:40 )
The normal thing to do would be to cry, or to give in amidst the difficulties . But when we choose to resolve the problem, we must oppose what is normal. Notice that Peter didn’t let those women stay where he had to materialize his faith.
Faith requires intelligence. The ability to use your reason. Not only knowledge.
When problems come, our faith requires us to response according to what we believe in. Even when faced with challenges, and even when it’s hard because our feeling are involved.
Faith wants an answer and not just knowledge.
Faith says ” yes ” to being materialized and ” no ” to your feelings.
That is faith !
Faith is not only to be taught, but it must be lived.
.
For many Christians, who hear the word , it becomes a common thing to say the verses , but to practice , which is what brings life , they don’t do. And when that happens , he or she only becomes a religious person.
We must be vigilant because any one of us can easily become a religious person. This can happen if we’re not aware of our own actions and if we don’t require an answer from what we believe in. Also: Obedience is an action of our faith.

Thank you Mrs Vivi here is what caught my attention is that for us to use our faith, we have to put aside our emotions because we can’t use our faith with our emotions in the picture. That way we can use our faith & see the results.

I thought i was okay with my relationship with God ,but deep down i knew it wasn’t where i wanted to be. I started to fast this week asking God to show me what it was that i was missing. My Pastor spoke about how we must not let our faith die, because if it does we become religios. God spoke to me that i was becoming a religious christian. And i was upset with myself for letting my faith die and disobeying God. Thanks to this article and my the Holy Spirit speaking through my Pastor i was able to wake up. Im now more careful and thankful to God for not letting me fall.

Everytime we are bombarded by feelings,i t’s part of our nature, but we cannot live by it. That’s were we need to be strong and go against it all. We need to be always alert to fight back believing in all the promises of God.

Good day
This is true, quite and eye opener about faith.
There is a passage in God’s word that says; …believe in what is true, and the only truth there is, is in God’s word.
Sometimes its seems crazy, when everyone else sees the situation and cry but the one with faith sees it and lifts it to God then instead of focusing on feeling they work on trusting.
