In this verse I understand that as much as I know that I am of God and that He is my Shield and protector, but I cannot tempt Him. I cannot deleberately put myself in danger and think that God will rescue me.

Emmotional faith
If the LORD JESUS had used emmotional faith HE would have fallen into the traps of the devil but HE used intelligent faith based on the word of GOD and HE overcame the devil.
