Jacob’s life – Day 17

Hello everyone, we are talking about Jacob’s life.

I am very happy for you that have been with us since the beginning, because those who start and go until the end have a goal to reach.

” Then Jacob asked, saying, “Tell me Your name, I pray.” And He said, “Why is it that you ask about My name?” And He blessed him there. So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: “For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.” Just as he crossed over Penuel the sun rose on him, and he limped on his hip. Therefore to this day the children of Israel do not eat the muscle that shrank, which is on the hip socket, because He touched the socket of Jacob’s hip in the muscle that shrank.” (Gn. 32 :29-31)

When God blesses the conviction we have is great, so great that it enables us to become audacious, bold. When we “see” God in our lives our inner conviction is invincible.

God changed Jacob’s life because he recognized he was a sinner. That day it wasn’t just the Word that blessed him, but his action that allowed him to see God.

“For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.”

Even though he had success, riches, children, and two wives he literally considered himself lost through out his past, but now he was complete!

Many people try to seek a completion in their lives with outside things, but they don’t have inner peace. Peace was the blessing that God gave to Jacob. A complete blessing!

My friends, I don’t understand this only because I’ve read it, but also because I saw Him face to face in my life. After that I became bolder. I didn’t need someone else as my reference anymore, I had God’s direction inside of me which shows me where I should be and what I should do.

You may ask, “What kind of blessing from God is this?”

It’s a conviction in which you will no longer feel insecure, lost, and without knowing where to go. There will be no more doubts. When you have the right direction you have peace and certainty.

” Just as he crossed over Penuel the sun rose on him…”

The sun appeared to him, as the light appears to those who surrender themselves and sacrifice. The light is the direction from God, words aren’t important only a genuine and sincere surrender!

It is very important to pay attention to small details because they make a difference both in our faith and in our lives.
