I am young

Many young girls come to church and as time passes they stop taking care of their appearance.

They begin to take it lightly.

Before they would get dressed up and wouldn’t leave the house without putting on makeup. But after they became of God they stopped worrying about their appearance as if it were a sin.

Today they leave home wearing clothes two sizes bigger, in jeans, t-shirt, and sneakers. Put their hair up in a ponytail and that’s it.

You may say, “I’m young!” And others say: “This is so practical why waste anymore time? ” Some of you may even be assistants.

There are some of you who even on Wednesdays and Sundays wear jeans to seek the Holy Spirit. It’s not that it’s wrong, but would you wear jeans to a wedding?

No. You would wear your best and if you could you’d even go prettier than the bride. But, for God anything is good.

Youth, if you are of God then your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. How have you been taking care of this temple? Maybe you have never stopped to think about this.

Everything we do is an offering to God. What type of offering have you been presenting when it comes to your clothes and looks?

Stop and analyze. Take action and invest in yourself. It’s not a sin to take care of your appearance. You might say, “Ruth, I don’t know how to do and I don’t even know how to put on makeup!”

That’s an excuse because you can ask someone who knows to help you or go on fashion websites. Today, the Internet has everything, both for good and for evil. So we should invest on what is good.
