Facing a challenge

We usually always like what is normal, easy, and predictable. We like to be in our comfort zone, and do our will.
But when we least expect it (or want) a challenge comes along. One that takes us out of our comfort zone and puts us in an unpredictable position, which makes us feel embarrassed most of the time. We don’t feel good because it’s not our “area” of expertise.
What to do in this situation???
Challenges make us grow and strengthen our weakness.
Normally we have a tendency to develop what is already good in us, and try to hide our weakness in hope of forgetting about them.
But for those who are revolted, who don’t accept being mediocre in character and want to grow every day, challenges are great opportunities to mature and improve as a person.
How to face a challenge?
It’s not easy. At that moment thousands of feelings flair up and your head screams: “Give up!! You’ll never be able to do this. This is not for you!”
I confess that I too have often felt this way and therefore try to combat it with a weapon more powerful than my own thoughts and feelings: the Word of God.
One day King David, a young man at that time, was faced with a great challenge, perhaps the greatest that he had faced so far. And the way he reacted to this challenge serves as a lesson for me until today:
“Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.” (I Samuel 17:45)
A challenge may be greater than our capacity, but CERTAINLY not greater than God!
We just have to take on the position in the battlefield, place these challenges in the hands of God and trust Him. We must do our part and never look back! He will be there to ensure that YOU overcome your challenges.

Thank you so much for this strong message Dona Viviane.Indeed,we don’t grow when things are easy,we grow when we face challenges.Every time things are difficult for me I look up to Jesus not in my own strength because my abilities is limited compared in the powerful God who strengthened me to do things because He is mighty and able to help me to overcome many obtacles in life and turn it as a testimony to bring glory to His name.

“A challenge may be greater than our capacity, but CERTAINLY not greater than God!”
This is so strong because there are times when the thoughts of “this is so hard, this cannot be for me” comes to mind. But then the strong desire to serve God overthrows that thought when I start to doubt those doubts. If we work for God, then surely we will get tired. But when we work WITH God, He gives us the strength we need to overcome.

Hi Mrs V
Am happy your message confirmed
What I was thinking about that no
Matter the challenge God still remains
Above.few weeks ago I was faced
With a challenge that I felt I was losing
Hope and i was putting myself
under pressure but i kept on praying
every day about the challenge.
But one day I waked up with a revolt
Inside of me and that day I didn’t pray
for long it was a very short prayer.
Lord let your Will be done it is out of
my hand I trust you. A week I prayed
that prayer,
God answered and I wasted my time
stressing about something that just need
Few word to Leave it to God to shift one
or two things.
I learned that in the mist of too many voices and
Mixed feeling to pay attention and to
Listern to what God is saying, because
In most cases we end up losing the fight
Because we pollute our mind with destructive
Thoughts.
Am greatful

Thank you oh so much. I have been facing a few things lately that have made me really feel like giving up and when I read this blog it was God himself speaking to me. I most not give up but believe that God is with me and do my part and use the word of God as my source of strength!

Thank you Mrs Viviane for encouraging us to come out of our comfort zones and overcome our challenges. Somebody once said ,” for an elastic band to be effective it must stretch”,Really if we keep avoiding challenges , there is no way we are going to grow.God has created each one of us to be giant killers,so for this to happen we have to come out of our comfort zones and face the unknown.
