Emotion X Reason!

It’s a constant battle. And the one that’s being more “fed” wins!

Your heart controls all the emotions and it’s blind! Reason, however, is that voice that thinks and always says “Caution, danger zone.” Reason, which speaks through the conscience, gives a signal as a streetlight, green, yellow and red! Now the heart doesn’t respect the limits, on the contrary, it’s like a car without control, steps on the gas and doesn’t even worry about seeing the signs. And what happens? Accidents…and serious ones!

This means that every time you think like, “Oh, I shouldn’t have said anything, I shouldn’t have gone, I shouldn’t have dated him, I should’ve listened to my mother…” and so many other lamentations, you listened to your emotion and caused an accident that left a mark in your life! And then you ask me: “Elaine, and now, there’s no way for me?!”

Every action will have a reaction…that is, whatever we plant, we will reap! But God is so merciful that if we stop to take action through the intelligent faith, with the head, everything can be new!

” Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

(2 Corinthians 5:17)

We will never be perfect; we are in a fleshly, physical nature, which is subject to errors and failures. But if you seek to think, you will be able to reject your emotions and desires that throb, in order to obey the One who makes everything new! If you want to have a new life, be with Jesus, and He will take away all that pain that is within you, and your suffering today will be like a scar tomorrow, in other words: a Testimony!! And remember, being with Jesus is not just going to church— but walking with Him wherever you are!

A hug and see you next week!

Thank you so much for the post! Was a reminder in how much we need to think before we take decisions; as one bad decision can cause a lot of damage to us

This is a very good article because our emotional state always seems to be at war with our intelligent faith/reason. For this we must be very aware of which one we give ear to or it can effect our lives dramatically. Every mistake, once corrected ends up turning into a testimony for someone else!

This goes along with the common theme “think before you…” When we use our logic instead of leading with emotions we’ll make less mistakes.

This is so true! When we are able to think and reason this prevents a lot of doubts and frustration from our emotions.
