Assistant, what is your mission?

In today’s assistants post, I would like to guide you to think about a topic that we all lived this past Sunday, and by the way, I hope that you lived that same thought. Well, to enter into this topic, I would like to ask you the following question: Why is it that you have the Holy Spirit?
Over the years, unfortunately, many divert from the main focus and let themselves be carried away by their own thoughts, which reveal personal interests and worldly satisfaction, leaving aside the real and true purpose for which they were called.
Here is the answer to the question asked:
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn,
To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
Isaiah 61: 1-3
Observe the mission of those who have the Spirit of God upon them, which is not only for their own benefit, but purposely to:
PREACH good tidings to the poor;
HEAL the brokenhearted;
PROCLAIM liberty to the captives;
OPENING of the prison to those who are bound;
PROCLAIM the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God;
COMFORT all who mourn;
CONSOLE those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty of ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
I highlighted in large font the first words so that you understand that the Holy Spirit is ACTION! He is not upon us for us to be just standing in uniform to “parade” across the salon, or waiting for the people to come to us. No! On the contrary, we are the watchmen that must go to the broken, the captives, those who are bound, who mourn, in short, to those who are in darkness … this is the true mission of the assistant!
I would like for you to be honest with yourself: have you truly and in fact fulfilled this mission? Or do you recognize that you are far from this reality for which you are being held responsible?

This message had opened my eyes to really see that im i accomplishing God mission.Becaus indeed the Holy Sprit has been given to me to be able to help others

Miss viviane,I’m not an assistant but I do agree with your message here.and that is the main “Mission” As a servant Of God.to help those people that needed a helping hand especially when they are down spiritually.

Dear Mrs Luisa
I would like thank you for this post because it is a true inspiration for me to be always watchful as an assistant,not because I must but because of how willing am l to give the Holy Spirit a chance to really work through me.Cause this work is the work of the Holy Spirit in other for God to accomplish his mission in this world.So it is highly important to seek the Spirit of God for it to be useful within me,and not forgetting to take care of my spiritual mind because an empty mind is the workshop of the devil.

My GOD please help me not to forget or become busy when I have to fulfill my mission as an assistant,help me not to forget the reason why you called and choose me in your work.
Help me LORD not to grow weary and not to do your work out of experience but to always will to learn and be as humble as a Lamb because it’s not my work and I never chose myself.

I am a watchmen who goes to the heart broken,those who need to be rescued from the darkness. As an assistant I will take that into consideration put more action to it.I pray that God Spirit comes upon us all the assistants

As an assistant I stand to say my mission has not yet been complete and with no words I am so revolted to see now that my eyes have been open that I have not doing my duty so thanks a lot Mrs Viviane.
