Hello to all cybernauts!

We are on the 9th day of the Fast. It is a pleasure that you are here reading the Blog!

I am here on my blog Vivifreitas, my dad with his Blog, Júlio with his, and my sister as well, all united in this 21 day Fast in your favor, for you to receive the thing that was the the best thing that happened in our lives! The very thing that made us withstand pressure, difficulties, our problems… we are here to give, because one day we were baptized with the Holy Spirit and we nurtured and guarded in what God guided us in, and that is why we are here.

Today we are going to talk about the following theme: And when your heart is angry, what should you do?

Accompany me in the book of Psalms, Chapter 4, verse 4:

“Be angry and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness and put your trust in the Lord.” (Psalms 4: 4-5)

Who doesn’t get angry in life? We always get upset with something… this doesn’t mean that you lose the Holy Spirit because you get angry. God isn’t looking at you as a perfect person, without any sin. Not at all! What He wants from us is that we don’t live in sin! Living in sin is to be upset all the time, always ill-mannered, everything is a problem; this does not please God! It is a “burden” to you and to all those around you.

God is not pleased and He does not want bad things to happen to us. He says:

“Be angry and do not sin…”

See that God understands when it is time for you to get angry. He gets angry as well. But He also says the following: “…and do not sin…” You have the right to get angry, but you do no have the right to guard that anger and live in sin.

“…Do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still.” (Psalms 4:4)

The fact that you meditate on your bed to confer, it isn’t because you are angry and you have all the reason to be… It’s because you have to confer the facts. Suddenly, maybe you are right, but that person doesn’t understand the way you understand… They aren’t as mature as you are… The person doesn’t do that because they haven’t been revealed…

It is up to you to meditate on your bed your heart… There is no point in judging, in looking with bad eyes, these are going to be motives for you to sin.

“Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still.” (Psalms 4:4)

The fact that you are anxious, of trying to justify yourself, of speaking in “your way” and trying to show that you are right… that is not something intelligent! On the contrary! It is an insecurity!

“Be angry and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness and put your trust in the Lord.” (Psalms 4: 4-5)

What do you have to do? Of your own free will, you have to sacrifice what is just! Forgive, what is just is me understanding what needs to be done in this situation. Invest in the person, teach them how to act, so that there is no misunderstanding or anger.

I am going to speak about me… I like things to be perfect; for example, and if the person does things the in a way that I don’t like, then I don’t have the right to be angry when I haven’t even taught or showed the person the way I like it done…. But if I have taught them and the person still commits the same mistake, only then will I get upset!

What do you have to do when you get angry? I know that I like things perfect, so I have offer sacrifices that are just! I have to teach, to dedicate time for this, so that there won’t be any anger.

” Offer the sacrifices of righteousness and put your trust in the Lord.” (Psalms 4:5)

When there is trust in God, there is no mistrust, fear, worry, insecurity… When trust exists, you are secure, nothing will go wrong, because God is with me, I did my part, and if there was a mistake, I will learn from those mistakes that haven’t happened before. I trust, I fix, and I resolve.

In this Fast of 21 days, you can perceive what is inside you! We are not speaking nothing of church… If you clean, evangelize; if you plan services with “members,”  whoever they be… If you are an entrepreneur, a business owner, no matter who you are! What is important in this Fast, is that you come before God, take advantage of your opportunity, repair your mistakes, your disadvantages, and feel the pain of being unjust to God. That’s when He does things for me! I don’t just come before God and He listens to me, when I just want Him to do His Part… but when I notice myself, my behavior and actions, in my attitudes and with pain, I offer Him what is just! I don’t want to act this way, to have this attitude, these thoughts, whatever they may be!

When I come before Him, and I pour myself out to Him, there is no way that I am not going to cry, because when I see myself as unjust, I see that God doesn’t deserve this…

When my prayer, my search, when I give myself completely to Him, it is because I am telling Him what is really going on inside of me! It doesn’t matter what the Pastor is saying, what the others will say, if they are worshipping and praising… What is important is what I am doing for my God! If I am in church or not… What is important is that I am being sincere, giving everything, taking out what is inside of me.

Cybernaut friend, be rational!

When you see God answering someone, it is because they were rational. He gives you answers when you rationalize, when you say things that are intelligent, the truth of what is going on inside of you!

When you say things that illusionary, fleeting, “small talk”… He doesn’t respond. Everyone can say “small talk” but when the conversation is serious and sincere, and says everything that is inside of them, not everyone does that…

Do your part and this Fast will be special!

Start this week dedicating your time to listen to Bishop Júlio’s, Bishop Macedo’s, my audio. Listen as much as you can, so that you can immerse yourself in what you need to develop. Give your all in this Fast!

  1. Thank you Mrs V.
Now I understand what this verse means and my action if ever I find myself angry again.I really believed I let God down and not worthy to serve him anymore.
But thank God I spoke to our Bishop who gave similar advise.

  3. From what I understood is that we cannot allow our emotions to takeover regardless of the situation. If we find ourselves in a tough circumstance we can bring it to God to help us through it.

  4. When I am upset about something I always make a short prayer asking the Holy Spirit to help me becasue I may end saying something or reacting wrong. And yes it is very important to guard the anger becasue might end up sinning. This has been very helpful.
