How are you beginning?

It will be a pleasure to be here with you these 40 Days of the Fast of Jesus learning to be one with Him

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. “ (John.1: 3)

For this reason in this Fast of Jesus we must abstain from television, worldly music, and the things that distract our minds and deviate our focus. It is necessary therefore, to put all our strength and to do so we cannot be distracted with anything else. For example, how many times have you gone to the mall or to the supermarket to buy one specific thing, but when you arrived there, you went in one place and another and eventually you got distracted and ended up forgetting to get that one thing you went out for?

This fast is for you to invest all your strength in your goal and have an objective in your life. You cannot just participate in this fast simply because the whole Church is doing it, but because you want to start a life with God. And not only want, but also have this thirst because if so, you will put all your strength into achieving what you want.
Having the will to do so alone is limited and will not work. There has to be a commitment!

So, friend, to start off this fast you must do it with God. You will see the difference if you are interested in Him, in wanting something because you are lacking it, because you are empty inside, and by recognizing that you are not who you want to be, even though you are a Christian you know that whatever you do does not bring forth change and Jesus is not revealed through who you are.

“All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” (Jo.1: 3)

I ask you: Everything you do in life, how you begin, who you date, who you relate to, your friends, and what your choices are, are they connected to God?

Maybe you have begun to walk with Jesus, but have preferred to do your will and that has distracted you. You have been drinking from the cup of this world and have forgotten about God, because you compare yourself to your friends and family wishing to have what they have, instead of being interested in what God has for you. How you begin is very important…

Let’s begin this 40-Day Fast correctly, in a way that you will be attentive to what God wants from you, and not what other people offer or think of you.

This Fast is to become one with Him, and not to receive a position or just to do what He did. When you do become one with God, you will do everything the way He would if He were in your shoes.

If you are going to start something do not start just because you feel like it, but do so because you are thirsty for Him. This dependence happens when you become sensitive and are in need. When you truly recognize that you need help that you need something more.

Be firm in your purpose. Be strong, be a man or woman of your word! Start and finish. Do not react with your emotions, but do it consciously. Plan your life! Even if your future is unknown, in these 40 days set a goal in your relationship with God, and you will learn wonderful things.

If you need the Holy Spirit or to be born again this is your opportunity, take it with all your strength! Do not be distracted by anyone, only focus on your goal.
