1st day – 5th June | Sunday | Matthew 1.18-20
This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about[d]: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

I will be taking part of the fast of Daniel. I was reading this Bible verse today, God was speaking to me that I need to be willing to put His will first before mine. What Jospeh was going to go through humanly speaking was shameful. However, it was going really well what was said in the audio. It’s all about the way I react. He was a just man, he didn’t expect any of this to happen. But he obey what GOD said. There will be moments that scary things will happen in my life, and I need to be really ready to obey God. I really need to be willing to allow these things to happen for His plan to happen. #PUSH ?

I have engaged myself to the fast of Daniel. Often I always act before meditating on what I want to do. which is of course using my strength. So today I have learnt to think ask God on how to go about it , then act.

If I can be honest, I have never really understood this Bible verse until today.
But one thing I really admired about Joseph action is that, he was thought things through before he reacted.
This is how I need to be everu single day, I need to think things through, I need to think before I act.
If I don’t speak before I act, then the plans of Jesus will not happen in my life.
Maybe this is why I have not been moving foward in my life.
I am now thinking, imagine if Joseph reacted any how? Then the plans of GOD may of been delayed and took longer.

I found this message really powerful and awakening. Especially because I have realised that I don’t actually meditate on the Bible or separate enough quiet time where God can reveal to me what He wants to show me from the verses I’ve read. My conscience is deeply seared if I don’t make time to read the Bible everyday and so out of religious habit I’m finding that most days I don’t receive anything, sometimes not even a clear conscience because throughout the day I feel bad for not remembering what it is I read that day. All in all I’ve decided to begin meditating on the Bible not out of religious routine but to strengthen my faith and to hear from God everyday because I want our relationship to become stronger and to see His greatness in my life always.

Hello Donna Vivian, thank you for sharing this message. It enlightened me more, This Fast of Daniel was very different from the pasts Fasts of Daniel that I participated, I felt so different, I am learning more, thank you, thank God for using you all for us to learn more to be useful to the work of God.
