Difference between knowing and doing

Do you remember the difference between Martha and Mary?
(Luke 10: 38-42)
Think about it you are visiting someone’s house and she does not offer you something to eat but stays with you giving you attention, listening to you and she enjoys being with you …
And another time, you go to visit another person and she is very busy and does not give you attention, because she is preparing the house and the food for you, and even gets stressed because she is working alone … At least you, as a visitor, would feel embarrassed!
Which of the two would you prefer? (Of course if you visit friends with the intention to receive, for sure you will go for the second option!)
The Lord Jesus did not go to Mary and Martha’s house to receive, but to give!
Imagine getting a visit from the Lord Jesus and not giving Him attention, because you want to present to Him the task and be justified by them …
And that’s what happens when physically you do everything right, but do not have any ears to hear what He wants from you!
Dear friend, God does not want you to be full of anxieties in life, saying that you are serving Him while in fact you don’t worry about being at His feet hearing Him, learning to serve Him as He wants!
God wants to occupy the first place in your life, be in your thoughts, seeing you thirsty to find out what He wants to give you!
When you choose the best part, no one can take it from you!
“Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:42)
Notice who you are and change your priorities. You will see that everything you do will be fruitful! You will exhale the Lord Jesus’s perfume wherever you go, and people will be glad to be with you!

I can not say I am of God by my good works. I need to take time to be intimate with my creator, listen to His word, know who I am and then do what He say I should do.

Thank you Mrs Vivi it’s what we do sometimes worry about what doesn’t count so what we need to do is to listen make time for God to speak to us daily so we can not just be doing what we think is right but we may practice the good and perfect will of God…and this happens when we thirst to hear from Him not as a duty but being hungry for Him and put Him first in our lives.

I see that I should not worry about many other things like Martha but should be like Mary who was only worried about giving Jesus her attention so He could speak her

the first time i heard this message i thought was the one who was doing the right thing but i now know the difference and what the lord jesus wants from me is being at his feet listening to his voice
