Finalmente i “bebè” hanno avuto di nuovo accesso a noi. Dopo tante lotte, tanti segni di dolore, tutto quello che restò dentro di me sono stati i ricordi di quest’epoca.
Nel tempo che sono arrivata, dopo averli lasciati nella casa del responsabile, piangevo senza fermarmi, mi mancava l’aria per respirare. Mi ricordo che prima di parlare con mio padre, avevo tentato di parlare con Dio attraverso la preghiera, facendo una scena sorprendente per me: a causa della disperazione, cercavo almeno di toccare in qualcosa che mi desse rifugio. Allora, sono andata nel ripostiglio di mio padre, ho preso la sua camicia, l’ho messa davanti a me e ho tenuto le maniche della camicia, come se tenessi le sue mani. E lì, in lacrime, ho chiesto la misericordia di Dio affinché risponda alla mia supplica. Sapendo che io non ero niente, usavo il potere della preghiera che mio padre aveva fatto per me nel giorno che mi sono sposata con Julio.
Ho detto a Dio le parole che mio padre aveva detto in quella preghiera. Lui, in lacrime disse: “Padre, quando mia figlia passerà per difficoltà, ricordati di questa preghiera…”. E lì le sue parole sono state interrotte dalla supplica che lui fece in mio favore.
Sembrava che mio padre sapeva quello che avrei affrontato.
E usando quelle parole che mio padre aveva detto a Dio, Gli chiesi di rispondere alla supplica del Suo servo.
Mi ricordo anche che una canzone segnò i nostri dolori, poiché parlava tanto con noi. Julio lo cantava nella chiesa dove ci trovavamo. La canzone era:

Le parole penetravano e dicevano tanto al mio essere.
Era il Dio che avevo.
Era Lui l’unico che poteva darmi questa pace.
Era Lui che mi faceva vivere ogni giorno.
Io piangevo molto con questa canzone.
E solamente io e Julio sapevamo quello che stavamo passando.
Ma anche così, non ho mai visto mio marito disanimato.
Non ho visto mio marito concentrato nei nostri problemi. Ma ho visto un uomo di Dio.
Anche davanti alle nostre lotte interne, là si trovava lui dando vita al popolo amato di Dio.
Dirò con sincerità: l’Altare salva la nostra vita.
È nell’Altare che impariamo a dare, anche quando abbiamo bisogno di ricevere. Ed è lì che impariamo a stare nella totale dipendenza.
Nell’Altare abbiamo accesso ad ascoltare i problemi delle persone. È per vivere completamente per quest’Opera, che sentiamo il dolore del popolo. E attraverso di loro, siamo ispirati ad usare la fede, a dare vita, ecc.
E questo ci mantiene vivi.
Mio marito era più forte di me. Almeno era così che vedevo. Poiché i suoi pensieri erano rivolti a quel popolo.
I miei pensieri erano una lotta quotidiana. Poiché, non ero attiva con il popolo, perché la funzione della donna in quell’epoca era di rispondere alle necessità della casa e delle attività fisiche della chiesa. Quindi, era più difficile per me mantenermi nello Spirito. Ma, con il dolore, non avevo come scappare dai loro ricordi, poiché abitavo nella casa dove loro abitavano con noi. E tutto mi voleva far vivere nell’emozione. Ma il mio spirito cercava incessantemente il sollievo di vivere nella fede. E così ho esercitato, attraverso il dolore.
Ne è valsa la pena! Tutto quello che ho passato!
Perché ho costruito qualcosa che nessuno poteva fare dentro del mio essere. Nemmeno il proprio conoscimento mi poteva fornire. Davanti a tutto il dolore, ho imparato tante cose, che ho solo da ringraziare per tutto.
Invece di mormorare, come molti fanno davanti al dolore, cercavo Dio con verità, non perché avevo seconde intenzioni, ma per tutto quello che Lui mi forniva.
La mia lode, il mio apprezzamento a Dio era più forte di prima.
Grazie Dio. Il Signore non mi ha abbandonata. Al contrario, mi è stato vicino. E ho avuto questo privilegio di avere questa esperienza unica.
