Proverbs 6:16-19 <\/p>
\n“These six things the Lord hates,\u2028yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look,\u2028a lying tongue,\u2028Hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans,\u2028Feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies,\u2028And one who sows discord among brethren.”
\n<\/p>\n

I will write about this subject because it has been a reality among us. Nothing that is written is in vain. The word of God is there to lighten us when we are in darkness, to reveal what is hidden that we ourselves are unaware that is inside of us. It is a cutting sword that divides the soul from the spirit, reason from feeling.<\/p>\n

My question is, Is Are you displeasing God with your eyes? With the way you look at your companion of war?<\/p>\n

A proud look is an expression that comes from being proud, a characteristic of an arrogant person. Due to this definition, you may say to yourself, “But I ‘m not proud nor arrogant” and immediately you put this message to the side. But my dear assistant I have already taught this several times that we should not be hasty, and it doesn\u2019t cost anything to examine ourselves.<\/p>\n

Let us verify in a practical way what it means to have a proud look:<\/p>\n

When you see yourself as being better than another assistant, more capable of taking on certain responsibilities.
\nWhen you see yourself as being more spiritual than others, the one who does more things, or the one that is in the church more often.
\nWhen you look down at someone whom you don\u2019t identify yourself with.<\/p>\n

Please stop and think about how you\u2019ve been looking at those who are around you. Examine yourself thoroughly and don\u2019t let yourself be fooled in thinking that you don\u2019t need to think about this. Be attentive to your eyes. Be vigilant because many in a subtle way have been deceived by their own pride by not wanting to examine themselves. This was the reason for their spiritual downfall. They didn\u2019t have caution to prevent this from happening and the worst of all they got sick without any cure.<\/p>\n

Just like our physical bodies need regular check ups for any illness our spiritual body also needs it. But with our spiritual life we must use more caution and these check ups must be more intensive and constant. It has to be something permanent not just sporadically!<\/p>\n

Next week I will continue on another thing that God abhors.<\/p>\n
