Hello to all. It is a pleasure to be here with you in this Fast of 21 days.<\/p>\n
We are already on the 8th day of the Fast, and it has been wonderful to know the Will of God. Everyday, we meet here on the Blog to read about things that go directly into answering your doubts.<\/p>\n
Today\u2019s theme is related to a question:<\/p>\n
\u201cI am in love, how do I get out of this situation?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Accompany me in the book of 1 Peter, chapter 1, verse 14<\/strong>:<\/p>\n \u201cAs obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as He who called is holy, so be holy in all that you do; for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy.\u2019 Since you call on a Father who judges each person\u2019s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to from ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him, and so your faith and hope are in God.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n You who are in love, and who find yourself in full Fast, how do you remove someone from your mind? Because when I am \u201cin love,” I think about that person all the time. You \u201cget ready,” you prepare yourself for when you meet them\u2026 You never go in a \u201cI-can-care-less\u201d fashion. When you are \u201cin love,” you live \u201cfor the moment\u201d of when you are going to meet that person. Your thoughts are focused on trying to grab his attention, and of showing off a \u201cgood image\u201d.<\/p>\n But when your mind is always in God, it is totally different!<\/strong> If you are interested in receiving the Holy Spirit or in developing your relationship with God, that means that your thoughts are also turned to Him. It is exactly the opposite of passion, to live for the moment, while the love of God isn\u2019t limited to a just a \u201cmeeting\u201d in a service, but it\u2019s always preparing you for Him. You ask, question: \u201cMy God, what is missing in me? What am I doing that\u2019s not pleasing you? I want to see\u2026 Speak to me!\u201d<\/em> Your mind is interested in hearing God\u2019s Voice, to prepare yourself for your Groom.<\/p>\n “As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance\u2026”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Maybe the boy is from church, an assistant, a man of God, but he is diverting your focus to where you put all your forces in that relationship, making you in debt and in turn impeding you in giving your best to God.<\/strong><\/p>\n And you may ask: \u201cBut Viviane, so I am not supposed to like anyone? Am I always going to think of things of God and I am never going to date or marry anyone?!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The right moment will come!<\/span><\/p>\n But in this Fast, where you need to prioritize what is necessary for your spiritual life and what needs to be above everything else<\/strong>, there will be a moment where you will give into your desires. You will let go of your faith in exchange for a “necessity” of yours.<\/p>\n Even you who are dating, you don\u2019t have to \u201cshape\u201d yourself for the boy, but for God, because it is Him that you are preparing for. And if you are \u201cmolding\u201d yourself for the boy, then you are not pleasing God 100%.<\/p>\n When you are being molded by God, you will have the characteristics and qualities that please Him!<\/em><\/p>\n “But just as He who called is holy, so be holy in all that you do; for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy\u2019\u2026\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n “And how do we become holy?\u201d you ask\u2026<\/p>\n When we do not accept those thoughts that make us distant from God; that makes us look to our own selfishness.<\/p>\n “Since you call on a Father who judges each person\u2019s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear\u2026\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n We are “living out our time\u201d here in this life, revealing who we are prioritizing. And in this \u201cdesert\u201d until we reach the Promised Land, there will be numerous necessities and things trying to distract us. So “live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear,” even though it\u2019s not easy.<\/p>\n “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to from ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him, and so your faith and hope are in God.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n You have to act in faith and not by emotion, because it won\u2019t resolve your \u201cquestion\u201d. If it did, then you wouldn\u2019t have needed to participate in this Fast. But because your emotions are deceiving you, they have made you weak, full of doubts, fear and insecure, so now is the moment, my friend, to manifest your faith. And you manifest your faith when you sacrifice in favor of what you believe in!<\/strong><\/p>\n Have your mind \u201choly\u201d; sanctify your body, because you were called to be \u201choly\u201d like Him, and that is when God will bless you in your love life. You will see! It happened with me: When I prioritized God and I took my focus away from my own selfishness, He blessed me, but for that I had to render myself completely and abandon my own necessities to please Him.<\/p>\n And if you do this, you will see how the burden will be lifted off your shoulders\u2026 what He asks in not bad, but for your own good!<\/p>\n Do your part, use your faith in this Fast!<\/p>\n You have spent enough time being involved in your emotions, with your heart.
