{"id":3115,"date":"2015-08-11T13:46:02","date_gmt":"2015-08-11T13:46:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vivianefreitas.com\/en\/?p=3115"},"modified":"2015-08-11T13:46:02","modified_gmt":"2015-08-11T13:46:02","slug":"self-esteem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vivianefreitas.com\/en\/self-esteem\/","title":{"rendered":"Self esteem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Self-esteem is linked to how well you know yourself!<\/strong> <em>That&#8217;s right!<\/em> Usually people don\u2019t know themselves, and therefore they feel inferior, they don\u2019t see in themselves conditions, find themselves ugly, and some even put a label on:<em> &#8220;I can\u2019t, I can\u2019t do it, I really am stupid, I am truly ugly, &#8230; etc. &#8220;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>When you have a negative view about yourself, it\u2019s because you don\u2019t know your strong points, you don\u2019t love yourself, you don\u2019t respect yourself, you don\u2019t value yourself!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Self-esteem also includes <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">self-confidence<\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">self-acceptance<\/span>! Who has a low self-esteem lives in doubt! That\u2019s the truth!<\/p>\n<p>How can you accept believing in God and doubting your conditions? It\u2019s no use saying that you believe in God and don\u2019t believe in yourself! People will not believe in you if you yourself don\u2019t either!<\/p>\n<p>Normally self-esteem is linked with beauty, appearance, but I see that as a consequence &#8230; <em><strong>A confident person sets her goals and reaches them, she doesn\u2019t give up until she sees them fulfilled.<\/strong> A person who loves herself, values herself, and her attitudes show that to people, who in turn respect and appreciate her, because she does it with herself!<\/em> And she also takes care of herself. By loving herself, she invests in herself\u2014first in her soul, taking care of it, nurturing it with the obedience to God&#8217;s Word!<\/p>\n<p>But there\u2019s a secret that makes you have your self-esteem up there: it\u2019s your encounter with God! When you are born of God, you see yourself powerful! It\u2019s true! Your view about yourself changes! You become even more beautiful because you changed from inside out; where there was emptiness and darkness, now there is Light, Peace!
