And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, \u201cBe saved from this perverse generation.\u201d Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.<\/i> <\/span>(<\/span><\/span>Acts 2:40,41)<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
To testify is not speak about what happened in the lives of other people or about something that happened a long time ago; rather, it is to live out the Word of God and acquire His virtues in our lives.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
Peter testified of his life and exhorted them.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
But, what exactly did he exhort them about?<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
Peter had painful experiences because of his faith. And with authority, he spoke in a way to persuade his listeners. It was impossible to remain indifferent towards oppression. This is why he said,<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
Be saved from this perverse generation.<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/i><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
I know what Peter was talking about because I can identify with him and his way of working.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
We cannot remain silent while souls are being destroyed before our eyes. We must do something.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized.<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/i><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
This means that there are people who do not accept the Word. As a result, their lives remain stagnant.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
But those who accept the Word are added to the Kingdom of God and to His work. And so they start doing for others what has been done for them.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
The words of a person whose life has been transformed are different and powerful. They cause a revolution, just as it happened in the past.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
What about your words, are the words of a \u2018mere believer\u2019? Are they a repetition of what you\u2019ve heard?<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
I’ll be very honest: there\u2019s a difference between being a \u2018mere believer\u2019 and being a Christian.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
Christians, who are the true followers of the Lord Jesus and are always vigilant, are always innovative. They have a new and refreshing spirit.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
Mere believers, on the other hand, can be boring. You don\u2019t feel motivated to listen to them because their words are lifeless; what they say does not change or have an impact on anyone.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
It is a sad reality.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
\nMy question is: What about you? Do your words have an impact on others, or are they a boring repetition?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
