{"id":288,"date":"2013-06-07T11:47:04","date_gmt":"2013-06-07T11:47:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vivianefreitas.com\/en\/?p=288"},"modified":"2013-06-11T11:48:30","modified_gmt":"2013-06-11T11:48:30","slug":"let-yourself-be-known","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vivianefreitas.com\/en\/let-yourself-be-known\/","title":{"rendered":"Let yourself be known"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p class=\"intro\">Transparency &#8211; A virtue that very few posses<\/p><br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nTransparency is a virtue where the person that possesses it doesn\u2019t hide anything whether it\u2019s to their advantage or disadvantage.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThat person shows who they truly are, without exaggerating, be it for better or for worse.<br \/>\nBecause they have this virtue they can come to know themselves better and therefore able to be more vigilant.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u201cNot everyone who says to Me, \u2018Lord, Lord,\u2019 shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.\u00a0Many will say to Me in that day, \u2018Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?\u2019 And then I will declare to them, \u2018I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!\u201d (Mt 7:21-23)<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe verses above refer to something very serious. It teaches us that we can\u2019t say we know God because of the work we\u2019ve done. The strongest words in this passage are: I NEVER KNEW YOU.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThose who serve the devil, for example, they too have works, perform &#8220;miracles&#8221; &#8230; But that does not mean they know God.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nMany are deceived, thinking they know Him, because of their works. But God Himself says: I never knew you. And that is precisely why this is so serious.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nWhy does God say that?<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nBecause the person doesn\u2019t get to know Him!<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nWhen a person is not transparent they are actually feeding their pride, because they are hiding who they really are.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nMany think that they will overcome it just by speaking to God, but they forget that in order for the Son of God\u2019s sacrifice to be complete, He had to be naked in front of everyone! He is an example of someone who is completely transparent.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nDear readers, God is transparent! He let\u2019s Himself be known to all. And for us to come to Him, we also must let ourselves be known.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nIf you are someone that prefers to stay in &#8220;your corner&#8221;, thinking that by hiding behind your work and doing everything &#8220;right&#8221; you will not be confronted &#8230; Know that you are a great candidate to hear God say: I never knew you!<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nHow can you make yourself known?<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nFirst, you must know who you are by doing a self-analysis.<br \/>\nThink about all negative remarks people say about you, and use them as an opportunity to discover more things about yourself.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSee what your current situation is and expose it before God. Seek Him for help. If you need to, ask someone who already overcame his or her will. That person will be able to truly help you!<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 Transparency is a virtue where the person that possesses it doesn\u2019t hide anything whether
