Did you already ask for protection in favor of your family members today?<\/p>\n
Did you intercede in prayer in favor of a solution to a health problem, or for God to give wisdom to the doctor at the time of the consultation? <\/p>\n
Did you ask God for your child, who today left for school early in the morning and that you will only see at night?<\/p>\n
Well … These questions have also been within me in recent days.<\/p>\n
Sometimes when we are so involved by our daily routine, we forget to submit to God all our ways and pray, even for a few seconds, in favor of those who are around us.<\/p>\n
Faith is not just for great achievements, but it should be expressed in small things too, that, so often, we end up considering them too small to be submitted to prayer.<\/p>\n
When listening to a message from Bishop Macedo, alerting us to this great reality, I could not help but to share with you, so it may also become part of our daily lives.<\/p>\n
If we already know that this world lies in evilness – and the tendency is to get worse \u2013 how can we keep ourselves free from evil and our family protected?<\/p>\n
“Pray without ceasing.” (ITs.5: 17)<\/blockquote>\nMany things happen, even being a person of God, precisely because of the lack of prayer. If our faith is not exercised in the spirit, at all times, we end up being guided by feelings, and without protection\u2014exposing ourselves to all kinds of dangers.<\/p>\n
And you may ask: “But doesn\u2019t God free us?”<\/em> Yes, of course, and often of dangers that never came, or will come, to our knowledge. But imagine that you were chosen by the army to battle against an enemy; you have a number of defense weapons and attacks at your disposition, including armor, but you do not use them, and you leave without protection … What do you think will happen?!
\nGod has put at our disposition several “weapons” (Ef.6: 11-18), being one of the most effective ones\u2014the use of the constant faith. But often we subject ourselves to the mistake of neglecting being vigilant, and we end up making ourselves an easy prey for evil.<\/p>\nWe have several examples in the Bible of praying men, whose dependence on God allowed them to overcome armies, be free of enemies, cured of serious illnesses, free of lions and obtained miraculous deliverances. This is without a doubt extraordinary! Remember these, and of the biggest Example\u2014the Lord Jesus, that even being God, did not fail to submit everything to the Father, through prayer. Through the entire time we see details that He used to withdraw Himself in order to talk to God. That is why He had the strength to make faith prevail through the most difficult and important moments of His Ministry here on earth.<\/p>\n
If Jesus needed to pray, to keep Himself constantly in spirit, what can we say about us?!<\/p>\n
