{"id":201,"date":"2013-05-18T13:33:04","date_gmt":"2013-05-18T13:33:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vivianefreitas.com\/en\/?p=201"},"modified":"2013-05-20T13:36:54","modified_gmt":"2013-05-20T13:36:54","slug":"breaking-through-barriers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vivianefreitas.com\/en\/breaking-through-barriers\/","title":{"rendered":"Breaking through barriers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p class=\"intro\">I\u2019m currently taking driving lessons and as the days pass I feel more secure about driving. But I can\u2019t go without acknowledging what happens to me.<\/p><br \/>\nI\u2019m driving quite well when suddenly I hear the instructor say, \u201cPut on your right signal!\u201d  Oops &#8230;<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nI put on the wrong one, the left one! After that, I started thinking about what I did, as I was thinking I commit another mistake and then many others after that. I create a barrier within myself by continuing to think about why I committed the first mistake. Then comes a voice saying, &#8220;You see? How are you going to drive alone? You can\u2019t!&#8221; then this barrier within me becomes greater and because of this I began to commit more serious mistakes.<\/p>\n<p>As I though about this I began to relate what happen to me while driving happens to my daily life. When things happen to me instead of acting against my thoughts I begin to feed them, therefore giving leeway to a series of things that do not please God.<\/p>\n<p>These thoughts come when we act wrongly, even by a suggestion given by the devil. If we give in to them then the degree of frustration in our lives will be great.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0I did not accept it and I reacted!<\/p>\n<p>It is very rude when a person is talking to you and you are \u201cday dreaming\u201d thinking about something else and you don\u2019t know what the other person is talking about. It is no different with God when He speaks to us and we are full of other things like negative and useless thoughts, the past, and thinking about our weakness, all this impedes our communion with God.  This also prevents us from hearing His Voice.<\/p>\n<p>To just think about what has happened to us does not help at all. We have to react, to seek help, in order to receive the right direction! The devil is an accuser and without knowing it you&#8217;ll be nurturing this feeling of inferiority that just keeps on growing every day, and before you realize you will be carrying this heavy burden inside.<\/p>\n<p>React against yourself and break through this barrier that is created by your own feelings so you do not go against
