\u201cAnd having come in, the angel said to her, \u2018Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!\u2019 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. Then the angel said to her, \u2018Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.\u2019\u201d<\/i> (Luke 1:28-30)<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

Now, imagine Mary being visited by an angel on an ordinary day\u2026 It was God who visited her!<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

There are many people who ‘run after’ God, saying, \u201cGive me this, give me that…\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

But Mary was not visited because she asked; her own life invited God, drew His attention.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

What was special about Mary?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Remember, she was pure in heart, she protected her faith\u2026 she was a \u2018virgin\u2019.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

This is what draws the attention of God. It\u2019s not your malice, your disapproval or judgement, but your purity. It\u2019s when you have good eyes.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

\u201cBut when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying\u2026\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

Instead of being excited about the news, she stopped to think for a moment… She did not consider herself worthy of such an honour, which is what normally happens with those who belong to God. She did not think she deserved it.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

\u201c\u2026 and considered what manner of greeting this was.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

Mary did not feed her emotions when she heard what the angel said, but she examined herself to find out what had drawn God\u2019s attention.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

Though she was considered pure in the sight of God, she did not think much of herself\u2026<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

This is why she was troubled.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

Imagine God finding something good in you\u2026<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Mary\u2019s attitude and rational behaviour drew God\u2019s attention.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

When we cherish our spiritual virginity, we are living by faith. We are firm, and not influenced by what other people say or think\u2026<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

“Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.”<\/i><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

Mary was a rational \u2018virgin\u2019; this is why she kept herself pure.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

And you too can become a \u2018virgin\u2019 if you confront what is not rational, what is against the Word of God.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

People who live by emotion are not looking for an answer; they are after an illusion.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

I don\u2019t know your past, whether you\u2019ve lived by emotion and made many mistakes, but I know one thing: the God that I\u2019ve found. I know what I\u2019ve been through, my failures, my mistakes, but I also know what He\u2019s done in my life \u2014 and that He can do the same in your life!<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

What happened yesterday does not matter anymore. Focus on your present, know the Truth and become pure.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

If you have been in the church for many years, but your heart is corrupted, you have done everything wrong, or displeased God, there\u2019s still hope for you!<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

When you start reasoning, you will stop being influenced by your feelings and will rid yourself of everything that has contaminated you.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

Lift up your head and look ahead. Our God does not live off the glory or the failures of the past\u2026 He says, \u201c<\/i>Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest\u201d<\/i> (Matthew 11:28).<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

He is telling you, \u201cCome as you are, full of problems\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Surrender your problems to God, and I\u2019m sure He will deal with them.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

And everything will be made new\u2026<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
