\nWe are talking about Elijah and we are going to know how he was before getting to Mount Carmel:<\/p>\n
Then the word of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0came to him, saying,\u00a0\u201cArise, go to Zarephath, which\u00a0belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.\u201d So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow\u00a0was\u00a0there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, \u201cPlease bring me a little water in a cup, that I may drink.\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0And as she was going to get\u00a0it,\u00a0he called to her and said, \u201cPlease bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.\u201d So she said, \u201cAs the\u00a0Lord\u00a0your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I\u00a0am\u00a0gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.\u201d (I Kings 17: 8-12).<\/blockquote>

\nI am in the sacrificial faith and this word also came to my need when I read it …I even get emotional when reading it again because it is very strong! Monday we said that Elijah was being sustained by God and suddenly that torrent stopped because it didn\u2019t rain anymore.
\nHaving been fed with meat and bread, day and night, a few days later the water stopped gushing. And now God comes in to action through His Word: “Arise, go to Zarephath …”. You can see that Elijah was dying of thirst! And what did God do? He did not give him water, but told him to dispose himself and go to Zarephath, to linger there, ordering a widow to sustain him.
\n\u00a0
\nDoes it seem that something is not making sense?! Well yes… Imagine a widow in the midst of a drought. The land of Israel was in an economically difficult time, with the lack of rain. When Elijah arrived at the gate, he met with that widow. And she was active and not crying, she was not still and whining, but picking-up firewood!
\n\u00a0
\nHow can God take Elijah from one place, and lead him precisely to that widow? Why her specifically? Weren\u2019t there other widows in need? Because she was active and not whining! She was not cursing her days, murmuring against God and life, but working!
\n\u00a0
\nGod did not give water to Elijah or sent a rich woman to sustain him with food and supply him his needs. No! Now Elijah would have to act his faith. Just like you and me! Are you thirsty? Then, He will give you to drink. But now, all you need to do is act your faith cybernaut friend! Act like that lady who had a son to sustain, but even so, she would take-on the challenge. And to do so, Elijah had to go against the feeling of pity in relation to that woman, her son, and the situation they were living!
