You know the saying: “Tell me who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are”? <\/p>\n
There are so many popular sayings and even many meaningless ones, but this saying portrays the truth.
\n<\/p>\n
I met an assistant who served with excellence, she truly gave her life completely to God and was always willing serve in everything. But over time, I started noticing she was distancing herself, and was no longer giving herself to the work of God as before. She was getting cold in her faith. She no longer evangelized like she used to, and her words were empty and without expression. She rarely had anytime to counsel the people and always arrived as the services started. I warned her many times and even asked her what was going on because I noticed her looking “dull”.<\/p>\n
Until one day, she finally looked for me to talk about what was going on. She had allowed herself to be influenced by her co-workers, but why? Because, the fact that she was young meant she was easier to influence. Obviously age is not the reason why people are easily influenced, but the influence that usually has a negative impact is the one that involves people who are not in the same faith, and this is dangerous.<\/p>\n
She was completely involved with these friendships to the point of losing the fear of God, but what’s worst of all is that her salvation was at risk. <\/p>\n
However, she did something very important to change the situation, she cut the problem from the root. She did this by seeking help she recognized her spiritual state, and in addition made radical decisions to cut off those friendships.<\/p>\n
Sadly we often see assistant who end up being completely contaminated by these types of friendships. Which was not the case of this assistant.<\/p>\n
If you are experiencing a similar situation; or you are that assistant who doesn’t cut the problem from the root, the one that does not watch the kind of friends you have and the conversations your involved in, then you should know that you are on the verge of losing your salvation. <\/p>\n
Jesus said: “Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.” (Matthew 15:11) <\/p>\n
I would like to know if you have experienced anything like this, or witnessed a situation like this.<\/p>\n
