Hello everyone! <\/p>\n
I’m already here, in the Temple of Solomon, waiting for Saturday where we will be interceding for the Church throughout the world, for those who made their vows and sacrifices.
\n<\/p>\n
Today we will talk about the “Adulterous Woman”. <\/p>\n
“Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst\u00a0they said to Him, \u201cTeacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act.<\/p>\nNow Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. <\/p>\n
But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.<\/p>\n
So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, \u201cHe who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.\u201d<\/p>\n
And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.<\/p>\n
Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.<\/p>\n
When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, <\/p>\n
\u201cWoman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?\u201d<\/p>\n
She said, \u201cNo one, Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n
And Jesus said to her, \u201cNeither do I condemn you; go and sin no more. (John 8: 3-11) <\/blockquote>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Lord Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Mt.11: 28) <\/p>\n
You probably already heard Bishop Macedo preach and have seen him invite to the front of the altar those who want to repent and take on their faith. Well, you can be the worst sinner in the world, but your past does not matter because to the Lord Jesus what matters is what you do from now on. <\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
But if the person wants to remain living in sin, continue doing wrong, and “enjoys” making mistakes, this situation is not favorable to him or her because the wage of sin is death.
\n<\/strong>
\n\u00a0<\/p>\nNotice that the first people to accuse the woman were the scribes and Pharisees because they were scholars; they had knowledge of the Law and wanted to find a way to accuse the Lord Jesus\u2019 conduct and words. <\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
But when they heard His answer: “\u201cHe who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.\u201d And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. <\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
All of us, humans, have a consciousness and it helps us differentiate between what is good and what is not, what is pure and impure. Even if we have God or not we learn from a young age to distinguish right from wrong. Even a lie, which is one of the first things a child, learns to do in order to hide their mistakes. <\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Pharisees and scribes, who knew the law, knew that the woman should be stoned, but the Lord Jesus did not come to condemn, He came to save. Precisely the opposite of what many think: That by coming to the Church they will feel accused. In reality, it\u2019s their consciousness that accuses them because they know they are in need of salvation, some sort of help, or something to give them hope. <\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
When someone commits serious mistakes in society they are sentenced to prison, sometimes for several years depending on the crime. <\/p>\n
Now imagine, when you make many mistakes in your conduct, character, which can be considered as a big problems and sin. For example, when you lie, cheat commit adultery which is a way of hiding sin like this woman … But when she went before the Lord Jesus, He did not accuse her, but said, “\u201cWoman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?\u201d<\/p>\n
She said, \u201cNo one, Lord.\u201d
\nAnd Jesus said to her, \u201cNeither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
In another chapter you can read in more detail about the practice of sin: “\u2026See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.\u201d(John 5: 14) Mistakes we commit can lead to drastic consequences in our lives, like unhappiness, sadness, insecurity, and a series of feelings that interfere in our right to speak with God. It is through faith in the Lord Jesus, by recognizing our own mistakes, and hating them that we obtain forgiveness. <\/p>\n
This isn\u2019t something superficial, you must feel pain, not of accusation but because you have been unrighteous to God and those around you with your actions. <\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
When you feel this “pain” in relation to your error and sin, the Lord Jesus embraces you. But this only happens with those who one day felt as accused as this woman, as I also one day felt … But Jesus did not condemn me! He extended His hands, His arms to me, and that’s when I saw His great love. <\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
This is when you see the great need for this Savior, because you acknowledged your sins as this adulterous woman did! Imagine how heavy the conscious of a person who has cheated and committed adultery must be and to have all those people to accuse them. I would be tormented.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Sin haunts us, but when we turn to God, fall into the realization, and see our sin as something “disgusting” and “dirty” we began to recognize the Lord Jesus as our Savior. <\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
People who accuse have no mercy and do not seek to teach faith and repentance, because they themselves have not seen their condition. The Lord Jesus, who never committed any sin \u2013the Only One – who could accuse this woman, did not because He did not come to condemn, but to save! <\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
I do not know what your condition is, dear reader, but I know one thing: Errors, mistakes, sins, everyone has committed, but if you truly repent and are grateful to God not from what others tell you, but in your own experience where you have found yourself condemned to hell, completely hopeless, but the Lord Jesus erased your past, causing you to have new horizons and perspective of life. <\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
This is our God, and that\u2019s the reason we adore Him! Because we’ve been in that situation and therefore have gratitude, fear of God and reverence. Because what He has done for me and for you is not given by a religion, but rather through the unconditional love that He had for us. <\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Lord Jesus accepts you from the moment you repent. <\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Do you hate your sin and flaws? Look ahead! Intelligent faith allows you to hate your sin and resolve it. Talk honestly with God, expose everything about yourself and you will see His salvation. <\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
